Postsocial consists of five works, each denoting a point of the inverted star. The opening pieces, “Throwing Star” and “Inner Space Infirmary”, respectively deal with exterior and interior violence. “Five Points” and “Spiral Star Inversion” are themed around an exploration of the five-pointed star metaphor, culminating in ritualistic conjuration and copulation of the hag. “Sapphire Sect of Tubal Cain” provides further reflection.
