VHOL – Complete Work On New Album

Singular, unique sounding West Coast metal band VHOL have completed work on their new album “Deeper Than Sky”.

Following their acclaimed self-titled debut from 2013, “Deeper Than Sky” sees the VHOL collective of vocalist Mike Scheidt (YOB), guitarist John Cobbett (Hammers Of Misfortune/ex-Ludicra), bassist Sigrid Sheie (Hammers Of Misfortune/ex-Amber Asylum), and drummer Aesop Dekker (Agalloch/Worm Ouroboros/ex-Ludicra) create a psychedelic speed/prog/trad metal album that takes the band’s sonic voraciousness to a more exciting and creative realm. Recorded and mixed in The Bay Area’s Light Rail Studios in a more traditional old-school manner, “Deeper Than Sky” sees VHOL deliver a warmer, fuller, and more colorful sounding album that will take the listener for quite the journey unlike any metal album released in 2015. “Deeper Than Sky” also features vocalist Mike Scheidt’s most versatile and adventurous vocal performance to date.
